Taqtik Health Refocuses Strategy on Bariatric Surgery, Post-Weight Loss Support, and Remote Patient Monitoring
San Mateo, California
Taqtik Health today announced a strategic shift toward three key growth areas in 2025: bariatric surgery, post-weight loss support, and remote patient monitoring (RPM). This renewed focus builds on eight years of cross-border care delivery and responds directly to the accelerating global obesity crisis and rising demand for long-term, technology-enabled patient support.
According to the World Obesity Federation, over 1 billion people worldwide are now living with obesity, and by 2030, more than half of the global population is projected to be overweight or obese. This growing trend is driving a surge in demand for bariatric surgery, GLP-1 medications, and structured post-weight loss care.
With more than 35,000 patient inquiries since inception, Taqtik has seen a sharp increase in patients seeking not only weight loss procedures but also follow-up support for metabolic health, body contouring, and sustained lifestyle changes. In response, the company is expanding its RPM tools and digital health ecosystem to empower patients beyond the operating room.
“As more patients undergo weight loss surgery or GLP-1 therapy, the real challenge becomes sustaining progress,” said Yasuhiro Hashimoto, Investor Relations Lead at Taqtik Health. “Our goal is to give providers and patients the tools to stay connected, accountable, and healthy long after surgery.”
Key Strategic Areas for 2024
-
Enhanced RPM Platform: Real-time tracking of sleep, mood, activity, and nutrition via integrated wearables and smart prompts
-
Post-Weight Loss Support Programs: Skin surgery referrals, body image coaching, and nutrition follow-up to prevent weight regain
-
Clinical Integration Tools: Custom dashboards and visit summaries to support surgeons and allied clinics
-
Value-Based Expansion: Enabling providers to adopt outcome-based models supported by reimbursable monitoring codes
Why Now
-
Global obesity prevalence has tripled since 1975 (WHO), creating urgent demand for scalable interventions
-
Post-weight loss patients face high risk of relapse without structured support
-
Remote care allows clinics to expand post-op services without increasing operational burden
-
RPM boosts adherence, improves outcomes, and supports value-based care adoption globally
Taqtik Health’s mission is to ensure every bariatric and weight loss patient receives comprehensive support before, during, and long after their procedure. With a growing digital platform and clinic partnerships in North America, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America, Taqtik is redefining global care continuity.
