Severance Medical Checkup Center The Severance Medical Checkup Center, which is part of Korea’s Yonsei University Health System, and Severance Hospital were established in 1885. Yonsei, which has more than 2,000 beds, is North Asia's largest hospital network. It boasts 970 doctors and surgeons (many of them English-speaking), and 4,170 additional staff. Severance/Yonsei sees an average of 1.6 million outpatients and 660,000 inpatients and performs more than 44,000 surgeries annually. Severance/Yonsei offers international patients services through its five specialty centers. Severance Health Promotion Center The Health Promotion Center of Severance Hospital was opened in the Yonsei foundation's new Yonsei building. It is located on the former Severance Hospital site in Seoul Station. This center provides health counseling and medical diagnosis in a friendly, historic environment. Since its opening in June 1994, the center has performed successful diagnoses for many patients. Severance Health Promotion Centre has been helping thousands of patients, both local and internationally, to overcome their disease.
